Tom Parker’s widow Kelsey has opened up about life after her husband’s death, revealing that their daughter still thinks he’s coming home.

Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine this morning to discuss the recent launch of Tom’s memoir ‘Hope: My Inspirational Life’, Kelsey said their two-year-old daughter Aurelia still recognises her dad in photos and videos, noting that she ‘still talks about him everyday’.

She explained: “Whenever Aurelia sees pictures of her dad, she’s like, ‘It’s my dad!’

“I’ve been really honest, she does still talk about him every day, she doesn’t quite understand he’s not coming back.”

Kelsey went on to say that because of this, she has had to be ‘really blunt’ by reminding her daughter that her dad isn’t coming back ‘because she doesn’t really understand’.

She said: “She’s just really confused by it. She thinks he’s on tour… But we do then talk about him every day. She does ask me every day about him.”

Kelsey also admitted that while she is lonely and does have her bad days, her late husband wouldn’t want her to be sad.

She added: “It’s lonely at night, but I have to live my life. We have been through so much together. The love I had for him was like no other.

“I find it hard that I can’t text or call him to tell him things. I have lost the love of my life.”

Tom wrote his memoir Hope: My Inspirational Life shortly before his death, saying that the book ‘is not about dying, it’s about living’.

The book was released on May 26th, and is already a Sunday Times Bestseller.

Kelsey wrote on Instagram about her husband’s achievement: “My boy is still number one Sunday times best seller. Today I’m off to @global summertime ball. This is so bittersweet for me, every time I’ve ever been Tom has always performed on the stage. Will be so strange for me but will 100% be having a drink and a dance just like you would Tommy boy.”

The Wanted singer tragically died on March 31st after an eighteen month battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife Kelsey and their two young children, Aurelia and Bodhi.
