In what could possibly be everyone’s worst nightmare, a fatigued man fell asleep on his train journey to Manchester and woke up slightly too far north in Glasgow.
The young man – who is yet to be identified – was travelling from Wolverhampton to Manchester on Saturday evening when he nodded off, accidentally sleeping through his stop.
After waking up at the train’s final destination in Glasgow, the confused passenger was thankfully spotted wandering around the train station by charity workers at Glasgow Street Aid, who quickly assisted with finding him somewhere to stay for the night.

The charity shared the disastrous mishap onto their Facebook page, where they posted a photo of one of their workers with his thumbs up outside of a hotel, writing: “Have you ever been so tired you fell asleep on a train and ended up in Glasgow when you were only trying to get from Wolverhampton to Manchester?
“Tonight we came across a young guy in this situation, he’d never been to Scotland before so was a bit lost to say the least!
“We walked him to 4 hotels before he could find a vacancy, thanks to the lovely staff at Premier Inn Glasgow City Centre George Square for taking in this guy.”
The charity’s Facebook post was flooded with praise by touched social media users, with one person writing: “Well done guys, so dedicated and caring.”
Another noted: “Good to know he is safe well done everyone.”
The young man in question is yet to be identified or come forward with an account of his unexpected midnight adventure to Glasgow – though we can bet he won’t be risking a quick nap on his next commute any time soon.
