An 11-year-old cat has been busted after heading down to the local Toby Carvery each week to pick up extra food from the customers.
Tula, an 11-year-old Siberian cat, had a cunning plan which saw her being fed at home and down at the Toby Carvery in Swindon, picking up roast dinners from staff and customers.
The cat was playing both sets of people and neither had any idea about the other.
That was until one day, when Tula arrived home with a bit of paper attached to her collar.
The note read: “Does this cat have a home?” The other side simply said: “always at Toby Carvery”.
And that was the end of Tula’s two-timing expedition.
HuffPost reported that the cat’s owner, Nicole, couldn’t stop laughing at the note at first, before heading straight down to Toby Carvery to tell them Tula wasn’t homeless.
They revealed that the cat had been begging for food from staff and customers ever since the lockdown was lifted.
As Nicole walked out of the carvery she found Tula sat on the picnic bench outside.
She shared the hilarious story on Facebook writing: “I can imagine she’s been trying for the sympathy vote in the hope of getting some meat!
“She has a lovely home and spends every night with us but thank you Toby customers/workers for looking out for her!”
One person commented: “What a genius hanging at the Toby… great scrap opportunities!”
It’s not the first time Tula has been caught playing the field, previously visiting a local old people’s home to get meat paste from sandwiches.
