Scarlett Moffatt posted a picture of her baby son online to show how her life looks as a new mum, which prompted her fans jumped to her defence telling her she’s ‘doing amazingly’.
The former Gogglebox star gave birth to her son with boyfriend Scott Dobinson in June, as they welcomed their first child.
At the time, the star – who gave birth five weeks early – put up an emotional social media post as she shared with fans a snap of her baby boy.
In the picture, posted to Instagram, Scarlett was dressed in a hairnet and hospital gown as she held her newborn on her chest as her partner, Scott smiles over them.
Scarlett shared in a caption accompanying the photo at the time: “Jude Xavier Dobinson. My darling boy, I can’t stop crying looking at you as I can’t quite believe you’re mine. You wanted to meet us early at just 35 weeks.
“Me and your daddy love you so much that I can’t even put this feeling into words. Our heart and soul feel complete and ready to burst. I will forever and always be grateful to be your mammy.”
She added: “I can’t thank @scottdobby enough and to the midwives Helen and Charlotte and all of the NHS team at Durham Hospital. You will all forever hold a special place in my heart for looking after us all with such compassion. Let the baby bubble commence.”
The former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here winner and her partner Scott have enjoyed a recent holiday with Jude, which the star has been sharing with her followers to show them some of her life as a new mum.
Along with her snaps, which showed baby Jude snuggled up on a cushion alongside her dog, Bonnie, she wrote: “I never realised how much stuff you have to bring along to any trip away with a baby… did we bring everything & the kitchen sink? Yes we did! Was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY!!”.
She also shared a side note, in case of any negative backlash, saying: “*side note these are posed pics I don’t just let Jude chill out on cushions all day long.”
However, her fans immediately defended her with one person typing: “Beautiful pics, gorgeous little boy! Hope you had a great break away (and you do not need to justify where you put YOUR baby!).”
Another penned: “It drives me mad that you have to write the part about posed pics before the knobs of the world start attacking you. You do you with your child and don’t explain to anybody.”
And a third said: “It’s no one’s business if Jude does lie around on cushions !!! Your doing amazingly, and keep doing what you’re doing.”
And a fourth added: “Don’t explain yourself it’s good for babies to snooze where they are comfortable… makes life easier for when you want to go out & about with them, Ps he’s absolutely gorgeous.”
