A professional golfer has been praised for her response to a man who’s ‘played for 20 years’ advising her on how to swing a club.

Georgia Ball is a golf pro with the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA). She coaches golf and regularly creates videos for TikTok to share her top tips with her followers.

In one recent clip where Georgia was practising a new style of swing, a random man interrupts her to tell her not to swing the way that she is, advising her on how she should be swinging instead.

The stranger, who can not be seen in the shot, says: “Excuse me, what you are doing there, you should not being doing that.

“You should be right through your swing and follow through. You are too slow on the way up and then back.”

Georgia politely tries to explain why she is doing what she is doing as the man appears not to pay attention to what she is saying, and goes on to interrupt her again to tell her he has ‘been playing golf for 20 years’.

Georgia smiles at the man and gives the camera a look of disbelief before she lines up the golf ball and takes another shot, sending the ball sailing through the air and right down the centre of the driving range.

The guy then tells her: “See how much better that was?” Georgia laughs it off and tells him that she had been deliberately slowing down her swing to try out a new style, as professional golfers do.

To which, the man replies: “Keep doing that anyway, OK?”

Georgia posted the clip – which has since gone viral raking in 11.7 million views – to her TikTok page @georgiagolfcoach along with the caption: “Can you believe he said this?”

The video caption then says: “Wait for it…” before we watch the cringeworthy moment unravel.

Commenting on the clip, one person said: “I’ve been driving for 25 years but I’m not about to give Lewis Hamilton some pointers.”

Another put: “The way you had to repeat yourself 3 times and he cut you off every time.” Georgia then commented on the post herself saying: “That was a bit awkward, not going to lie.”

Someone else chimed in: “*implements nothing he says* ‘See how much better that was’ HAHAHHAHA.” And Georgia replied: “This is why I couldn’t help but laugh. I was lost for words!”

And another person added: “My hope is that he comes across this video and it keeps him up at night.”

Many people have praised Georgia for managing to remain polite and showing ‘remarkable levels of class and restraint’.

One follower typed: “You were much more gracious than I would have been.” And another said: “The way you reacted so calm and polite! I’d be fuming!”

TV presenter Dan Walker also praised Georgia, as he commented: “Georgia showed remarkable levels of class and restraint here. I hope the fella involved gives a full apology and goes to her for a lesson.”
