Phillip Schofield paid an emotional tribute to his friend Caroline Flack last night. Phil was in tears as he paid tribute on Dancing On Ice on Sunday evening, alongside his co-host Holly Willoughby. The pair started the show by remembering their friend and colleague, after Caroline was tragically found dead at her home in London over the weekend.
The Love Island presenter, 40, was found on Saturday, with a lawyer for Caroline’s family confirming she had taken her own life, adding that she’s been ‘under huge pressure.’
Phil’s voice was shaky and he had tears in his eyes as he said: “We’d like to begin the show by taking a moment to remember Caroline Flack. In light of yesterday’s awful news we wanted to say our hearts go out to her family and friends.”
Holly then added: “Many of us here on the show knew Caroline as a friend and we’ll all miss her enormously. As Caroline herself recently posted, in a world where you can be anything, be kind.”

Dancing On Ice skater Joe Swash was also in tears after his performance, telling the audience: “I want to send my love to her family.” He became friends with Caroline after they presented I’m A Celeb’s spin-off show between 2009 and 2010 together.
Tributes to Caroline have been flooding in since the sad news broke over the weekend.
Her family said in a statement on Saturday: “We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February. We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time.”
Caroline stepped down from her role as Love Island host after she was alleged to have assaulted her boyfriend Lewis Burton – she denied the charge and was set to face trial on March 4th. As a mark of respect, both episodes of Love Island were cancelled over the weekend, with the show due to return tonight with a tribute to the TV presenter.
