People ‘speechless’ after woman shares 13-year-old girl’s Christmas list

Internet users have been left ‘speechless’ after a woman shared a picture of her 13-year-old niece’s Christmas wish list.

With Christmas fast approaching, some people may be scrambling to get those last minute Christmas presents ready in time for the big day. 

It may be helpful for some to loosely compile a Chrimbo wish list to give people a gentle pointer in the right direction.

However, if the list is jam-packed with expensive items then you’re probably just pushing your luck rather than being helpful.

One woman took to Twitter to share a picture of her niece’s handwritten list along with the caption: “This is my 13-year-old niece’s list…”

The list, entitled ‘My 2023-2024 Xmas wish list’, contains more than 43 items and the word ‘money’ is written down twice. One thing’s for sure, she has expensive taste.

Looking at the list, it’s full of expensive beauty brand products such as; high spec tech and designer clothing – it’s clear to see the teenager spared no expense when writing down her coveted items.

At the top of her list was ‘Dior lip oil’ which costs around £32 at RRP. 

Other beauty and cosmetic items listed include acrylic nails, flash lashes, Charlotte Tilbury products, Dior concealer and Gucci perfume.

The high-tech items on the teeenager’s list include ‘AirPods’, a ‘new iPad’, an ‘Apple Watch’ and a ‘MacBook Pro’.

As well as makeup, skincare and tech products, the girl asked for clothing items from brands such as lululemon, Nike, Uggs and Skims.

And to top it off, she also listed an array of homeware accessories and gift cards including ‘cute candles’, ‘LED lights’, an ‘Amazon gift card’ and a ‘Mecca gift card’.

As an image of the hand-written note was shared on Twitter, people jumped to the comments to share their opinion and hit out at the girl’s list.

One user said: “Wish list bc she gonna keep on wishing lmao. You getting a Barbie doll and crackle nail polish.” Another said: “I stopped reading after Dior lip oil because what!”

Someone else blasted: “My mum would’ve whooped my a** for asking for even one of these things.”

A fourth put: “Dude, when I was this young, my Christmas lists were just call of duty, Legos and Pokémon cards wtf.”

A fifth chimed in: “Skims for a 13-year-old is actually wild.” And someone else added: “This entire list is due to TikTok.”

And the comments expressing total shock at the list didn’t stop there. 

One person claimed: “This is so depressing…What business does a CHILD have needing a whole skincare routine and makeup…and Skims? Acrylics? Let these girls be kids man omfg!”

Another said: “This list is like $3,000!”

“Your niece is greedy as hell,” blasted another while someone else added: “I am speechless.”

A few, but not many, were slightly more understanding, as one person stepped in to say: “People expecting a 13-year-old to have toys on this list are delusional.

“I grew out of toys when I was 11. Does this list mean she’s gonna get everything she wants? Absolutely not but people need to realise that 13-year-olds are gonna have evolving tastes.”
