Passengers forced to walked down Big One again after it stops for second time in two weeks

Passengers on the Big One rollercoaster in Blackpool were forced to walk down from the ride after it stopped for a second time in two weeks.

Thrillseekers visiting Blackpool Pleasure Beach once again had to make the terrifying walk down the tracks of one of the high peaks of the well-known attraction after it stopped mid-ride.

The Big One, formerly known as the Pepsi Max Big One, stopped suddenly a little after 3pm on Sunday, April 23rd.

Those on the rollercoaster were seen having to walk down a huge flight of stairs along the tracks as they were guided to safety by trained staff.

Earlier this month, the iconic ride ground to a halt on the lift hill during windy weather.

At the time, on April 11th, staff asked passengers on the ride to walk all the way back down to the ground while being guided, with the rollercoaster remaining closed for the rest of the day.

A spokesperson for Blackpool Pleasure Beach confirmed the Big One was still shut just before 4pm on Sunday, but was unable to provide any details on how long it would be closed for.
