A mum has divided opinions after showing off a ‘cruel’ message she wrote on her unsuspecting toddler’s dinner.
The anonymous TikTok user filmed herself serving her child – who was sitting quietly in her high chair – a meal of chopped tomatoes, cucumber and a biscuit.
However, unbeknown to her daughter, the woman had written ‘d**k head’ in colourful stick-on letters on top of the biscuit.
She captioned the video: “When your toddler won’t nap”.
Upon being presented with the plate of food, the little girl seemed completely unaware of the uncouth message written across her food.
Since sharing the video last month, the clip has surpassed more than 3 million views and plenty of comments from unimpressed social media users.
Many people were quick to disagree with the mums actions, with one person questioning: “Why is it in to be anything but nice to children? Like I don’t get it and I’m glad I don’t.”
Another commented: “Am I the only person that thinks this trend is a little cruel? Like I get the humour, but still.”
A third wrote: “Would you send your kid to daycare or preschool with a lunch box note like that? Hmmm I think not because you know it’s wrong.”
Though not everyone disagreed with the mum’s actions, especially after she posted a follow up video showing her daughter attempting to read out the message on her food with no signs of hurt or upset.
One social media user pointed out: “Look, if writing that on your toddler’s food helps you stay calm enough to be a good mum in ways she does understand, do it!”
Another wrote: “This makes me laugh. Let’s make this normal for mums to not always like their kids.”
