A man from Manchester snuck into Parklife Festival wearing his work gear and had a cheeky rave.
Jack says he was told by someone that ‘if you’re wearing hi-vis, you can get in anywhere’. After a chat with a group of mates who ‘egged him on’, he decided to put it to the test.
In a tweet he said: “Not tweeted in a year because nothing interesting has happened to me.
“But today, on a whim, I snuck into Parklife in my work gear and hi vis. Strolled right through the front door. Thought it was quite funny.”

He drove past Parklife at Heaton Park on Friday and toyed with the idea. And after a few drinks on the Saturday night he built up the confidence to give it a go.
He said it was all down to ‘speed’ and ‘confidence’ as well as wearing a hi-vis jacket that got him in.
Speaking to Proper Manchester, Jack said: “On my way to work on Friday I saw a load of people in normal hi-vis. I thought ‘I bet I could just walk in there’.

“I mentioned it to my mates and they said ‘go on get in!’
“I drove and parked up nearby. I got stopped at the gate for a second, I told the guard I was an engineer coming to work on a chilling unit that was broken.
“He looked confused and I sort of just said ‘thanks mate, can I just…’ and scooted past him before he really knew what was going on.”
The idea came after Jack said he ‘saw some other guy doing something similar recently’.

He added: “I saw there was a guy on the line-up called confidence guy and thought I’ll go there for that. I spent about an hour there and just danced.
“I asked some girls if they would take some photos of me but it was quite funny, when I said ‘excuse me’ they thought they were in trouble and I was just laughing.
“A few people asked me for directions so I just made them up. I’ve never been to Parklife before, it’s not really my thing but I just wanted to see if I could do it. It was a Sunday and I had nothing else to do.”
