Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter has confirmed that she’s pregnant in an emotional post on social media last night. The Mancunian actress, 34, was flooded with messages of congratulations from her co-stars and other celebs. She shared the news that she was expecting a baby with her fiance Ollie Piotrowski on Instagram, following the tragic loss of her quadruplets just last year.
Jorgie, who plays Theresa McQueen in Hollyoaks, shared a video which featured their hands and the dog’s paws pulling away to reveal a baby scan. Captioned as simply “Hopeful beginnings …”, her Hollyoaks co-stars were quick to reply, with Kieron Richardson, who plays Ste Hay on the soap, saying: “The best news baby pio-ports.” Chelsee Healey, who plays Goldie McQueen added that she was ‘crying’ while Mercedes McQueen actress Jennifer Metcalfe said: “Cannot wait for this chapter xx”. Stephanie Waring, who plays Cindy Cunningham, said: “Jorgie you deserve this and so much more. I’m bursting with smiles for you both.”
Jorgie, who has played Theresa McQueen on the soap since 2008, revealed that she was engaged to Ollie back in December, just shortly after they had some devastating news. She revealed she had suffered a miscarrgiage with quadruplets back in August. The star discussed the loss on her podcast Loose Lips, saying her and Ollie were heartbroken at the 14-week scan to find out there was no sign of life in the embryo sacs
