Greggs trolls Kanye West’s new trainers for looking like a pair of sausage rolls

Greggs is well known across the North of England for its delicious selection of rolls, pastries and bakes.

It’s also fairly well known for its social media presence, and its online accounts often go viral.

And this happened again this week, as Greggs’ Twitter admins took aim at none other than Kanye West – a man who knows a thing or two about going viral.

This followed the release of the rapper’s new Yeezy trainers – the 450 Sulfur shoe.

Kanye began collaborating with Adidas back in 2013, producing a range of popular and expensive trainers with unusual designs.

In May 2022, Kanye and the Yeezy team announced the 450 Sulfur shoe would be launching, with the trainer shaped in an unusual, yet rather familiar, beige design.

The trainers themselves will set you back a whopping £301, which you’d be better off just spending on sausage rolls to be honest.

This unusual beige design caught the attention of Greggs, who took to Twitter to poke fun at the design – comparing it to their legendary sausage rolls.

Greggs retweeted an image of the Yeezy shoes, saying: “Two Sausage Rolls short of a multipack.”

People were quick to join in with the jokes, with Dan replying: “Kanye get these in vegan?”

Someone else said: “Just need to pop it in the oven to warm up lol,” while a third added: “Looks more like a Cornish pasty.”

Think I’ll just stick to sausage rolls…
