A dedicated Greggs customer had the vegan sausage roll tattooed on her leg as a token of her appreciation for the chain’s popular snack.

Twenty-four-year-old Beth Kweeday, who works as an apprentice at Bold as Brass Tattoo Company in Liverpool, had the idea for the unusual art work after her colleagues made jokes about her daily visits to the chain.

Beth asked her boss Rachel Baldwin, who owns the parlour, to design and ink the tattoo of the pastry, which she describes as her ‘one true love’.

It was Rachel who came up with the idea after noticing Beth’s frequent trips to the bakery every day, with her even claiming that she can visit as often as five times in one day.

Beth told the BBC: “Why would I not get a tattoo of something I like so much? It is my leg and I am happy.”

She added: “Long live the vegan sausage roll.”

Rachel posted a video of the tattoo on TikTok where it was quick to go viral, with thousands of fellow Greggs fans marvelling at the unique art.

One person wrote, “This person should get a lifetime supply of Greggs for this,” while another noted, “As a worker at Greggs I approve of this tattoo”.

Greggs themselves shared a photo of the tattoo, writing “Greggs is for life, not just for lunch time”, though there was no mention of a free lifetimes supply of vegan sausage rolls for Beth, sadly.

Beth said her family and friends at first did not believe she was serious but on the whole the response to her new tattoo had been ‘great’.
