Aldi is on the look out for an official beer tester to taste and review its wide selection of lagers, ales and IPAs.

In what could be the dream opportunity for any beer lover, the budget supermarket is offering the chance for one lucky candidate to receive a selection of drinks to give ‘valuable feedback’ on.

Ranging from smooth IPAs, refreshing lagers and hoppy craft beers, the selected taster will get ten beers in total over the course of the role.

They will then be required to report their thoughts back to Aldi bosses, who they will help to guide and advise on key decisions ahead of its next range.

And better yet, no expert knowledge is needed, with the only requirement for the role being a passion for beer and ‘pints of enthusiasm’.

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said on the opportunity: “We’re looking for someone with passion and excitement when it comes to craft ale, but who can honestly review our range and provide suggestions as to how we might improve it for next year.

“For beer lovers, this is the ultimate opportunity. Best of luck to all applicants.”

To be in with a chance of landing this one-off opportunity, you will need to send off an email explaining why you think you’re perfect for the role, as well as outlining what your favourite beer is and why.

In the application email to Aldibeertaster@clarioncomms.co.uk, applicants should include the following details:

  • Full name.
  • Proof of age (copy of passport or driving license).
  • Social media handles (If applicable).
  • 150-word explanation as to why they should be chosen for role.
  • Favourite beer and why.

Entries close at the end of the month on August 29th, and the successful candidate will be selected and announced a few days later on September 2nd.

Good luck!
