Walkers confirms Prawn Cocktail Wotsits are RETURNING to the UK

After hinting at it a few weeks ago, Walkers has now confirmed the news we’ve all been waiting for.

That’s right, Prawn Cocktail Wotsits are COMING BACK to the UK, 20 years after they were last seen on shelves.

Walkers officially confirmed the legendary Wotsit flavour is returning, after fans of the long-lost snack have been calling for its comeback since 2002.

And in even better news the snack will be bigger than ever before, as they will be returning as Wotsits Giants

The prawn cocktail flavoured treat is back following weeks of teasing from Walkers, who created the #Wotsthis hashtag on Twitter and posted a series of semi-cryptic tweets hinting about the return.

Josephine Taylor from Walkers Snacks said that years of public campaigning led to their return, adding: “We know just how excited everyone is going to be to try this legendary flavour again.

“It’s been a challenge keeping this giant secret under wraps but we can now officially announce that our most requested flavour of all time – Wotsits Prawn Cocktail – is back.”

Walkers has been bombarded with requests for its return, including a Change.org petition which garnered more than 4,000 signatures of support.

Ms Taylor added: “Following a challenging two years, I’m sure we could all benefit from a moment of melty Wotsits enjoyment and we hope that devotees of the original flavour agree that this Giant version is worth the 20-year wait.”

The new supersized prawn cocktail Wotsits Giants are available for preorder from Amazon today, Friday February 18th, before they return to supermarkets from Monday March 7th.
