Christmas is a great time of year, but it can have a devastating impact on our bank balances.

Once you’ve accounted for food, drink and presents – never mind the endless night’s out – your New Year finances are destined to depress you.

However, one shimmer of good news in a sea of expenses comes from Lidl, and its super cheap Christmas veggie offers.

Lidl

That’s right, the budget supermarket has slashed the price of selected veg to just 15p a bag, making them cheaper than rival Aldi’s.

You can grab a bargain on carrots (1kg), parsnips (500g), Brussel sprouts (500g), red cabbage (1kg) and mini roast potatoes (1.5kg) – which all come in at 15p (you can also grab a 500g bag of shallots for 29p).

Most of the veg bags are reduced from today, Wednesday December 18th, at stores nationwide while stocks last, meaning you best be quick if you want to grab some.

The mini roast potatoes won’t be available until tomorrow (Thursday December 19th), so you’ve got a bit more time with them.
