As far as British snacks go, the humble Freddo bar is among the most iconic.

The little chocolate frog was first released in the UK back in 1973, before being withdrawn in 1979 and relaunched 15 years later.

Now the name Freddo is synonymous with how shit everything has become, and its various price rises over the years have constantly sent people into meltdown.

Besides the price rises, however, it’s safe to say the little chocolate frog has a lot of fans, which is why the news you can now get Freddo ice cream sandwiches is sure to go down very well.

That’s right, Cadbury Dairy Milk Freddo sandwiches have been spotted in Asda by the good people over at NewfoodsUK, an instagram page set up to showcase, well, new foods in the UK.

According to the box, they consist of ‘delicious chocolate ice cream sandwiched between yummy chocolate biscuits’.

There’s not much info about how much they cost, but they come in a pack of six and are only 98 calories per sandwich – might as well eat the whole box then.
