Police were called last night as a woman was thrown from the Waltzers, after standing up during the ride on Blackpool’s South Pier.
Lancashire police were called to the amusement area around 6:50pm last night after reports of a woman being ‘thrown from a ride’.
She was rushed to hospital after she landed on the floor, according to reports. Luckily the woman has suffered only minor injuries.
Eyewitnesses report seeing a large police presence soon after the scene. There were five officers at the scene.
Force Incident Manager at Lancashire Police, Conrad Tapp, said: “This was luckily a less serious incident than initially suspected.
“A female had been thrown from the ride and she landed on the floor.
“She was taken to hospital but she was a walking wounded and sustained only minor injuries.
“We believe she had stood up on the Waltzer ride, causing her to then be thrown from the ride.”
