A woman suffered serious injuries with six people taken to hospital after an Audi and a bus crashed in Bolton yesterday.
The incident happened at around 1.30pm on Tuesday, October 17th, as emergency services rushed to the scene while St George’s Road, in Bolton, was closed for several hours.
One woman had to be rescued from the collision by bus crews after sustaining ‘major trauma related injuries’.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police were at the scene of the collision, which happened close to Chorley New Road.
A GMP spokesperson said: “At approximately 1:30pm today (17 October 2023), officers were called to reports of a collision between a bus and a car on St George’s Road in Bolton.”
North West Ambulance Service confirmed that six people were taken to hospital including a woman who suffered ‘major trauma related injuries’.

It is understood she was a passenger on the bus at the time. The condition of the other casualties involved has not yet been disclosed.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue service were also in attendance as they urged the public to avoid the area.
It is understood they remained there for approximately one hour and 45 minutes until the area was considered safe. St George’s Road remained closed into the evening.
