UK’s largest Asian supermarket chain set to open in Arndale

The largest Asian supermarket chain in the UK has confirmed it will be opening a new store inside Manchester Arndale.

Oseyo, which already has a popular site on Oxford Road, will bring the ‘vibrant flavours of Korea and Asia’ to the 12,580 sq ft unit in the heart of the city centre after it just signed a 15-year lease.

The Korean retail giant, will provide a wide variety of Asian food favourites including Korean Fried Chicken, Kimchi, crispy corn dogs, noodles, sauces, teas and plenty more. As well as a range of toys, stationary, homeware and electronics.

Customers can also browse items such as alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, K-Pop gifts and beauty products.

First launched in 2015 with a small shop on London’s Tottenham Court Road, Oseyo now has 10 stores across the UK. The new Manchester store will bring that number to 11 and the second site up north — both being Manchester.

Oseyo also brings produce from some of Korea’s biggest food brands, such as CJ BIBIGO, DAESANG, SAMYANG and NONGSHIM to a wider UK audience.

‘Oseyo’, meaning ‘Welcome’ in Korean, is the message at the core of the brand, which aims to cater to both the Korean community and those eager to explore new culinary experiences.
