The temperature is set to rocket this bank holiday weekend, reaching highs of 25c due to ‘Spanish Plume’.

The UK has been having some glorious sunshine while we’ve all been in lockdown which has proved a great way for those people with gardens and balconies to feel normality in lockdown.

This weekend the temperature is set to hit 25c but it might mean thunderstorms are coming too.

The MET Office has said to expect heavy showers in Wales and Northern Ireland as well as western and central England – although Manchester looks set to avoid them.

There is also a high possibility of thunder, meaning the scorching weather could be short-lived as temperatures will quickly plummet.

According to weather.com, Manchester won’t see temperatures as high as the national average, with highs of 21C on Friday and 22C on Saturday forecast – Sunday will then see a big drop in temperature, with highs of 10C.
