S Club 7 singer Paul Cattermole’s cause of death has now been confirmed following his tragic passing at the age of 46.

The singer tragically died last month ahead of the band’s reunion tour.

News of the star’s death left his family, friends, bandmates and the general public shocked and devastated. He was found dead in his ground floor flat in Wareham, Dorset.

Since Paul’s passing, before the band’s 25th anniversary reunion tour, S Club member Hannah Spearritt announced her decision not to continue with the reunion — which has been renamed to The Good Times Tour — but the rest of the band will go ahead.

The Dorset Coroner’s Service has now confirmed what caused Paul’s death. Paul died of natural causes and no inquest to the singer’s death will take place.

However Dorset Police, who found Paul’s body on April 6th, said their enquiries were ‘ongoing’.

A spokesperson for the coroner said: “We confirm that Mr Cattermole died from natural causes and our investigations have concluded. As his death was from natural causes there will be no inquest.”

Paul’s death was announced by his family and his band S Club 7 last month, with fans and famous friends flooding social media with tributes and sharing their memories of the late star.

A statement from the band to announce Paul’s death read: “We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul.

“There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.

“He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time.”

His body was discovered in his home on April 6th, one day prior to the news of his death being made public.
