Police officers took a ‘smartly dressed’ dog into their care after removing it from its ‘intoxicated’ owner.

British Transport Police (BTP) removed a dog dressed in a light blue shirt from its owner at Wolverhampton railway station on Friday (August 18th) after receiving a report from a member of the public that a dog was not being cared for properly by its ‘intoxicated’ owner.

The dapper doggo was pictured sitting in the front passenger seat of a police van, peering out of the window while sitting next to an officer, in a post on Twitter.

In a tweet on social media BTP Black Country wrote: “Yesterday our officers received a text report regarding a female who was intoxicated and not adequately caring for her dog.

“Officers attended and ensured the welfare of the dog whilst further enquiries are ongoing to establish any offences #SeeItSayItSorted.”

All dressed up with nowhere to go, the canine has been put in alternative care while inquiries continue into the incident, BTP have said.
