Police issue last known image of missing man in urgent appeal

Officers say anyone who sees Andrew ‘should not approach him’

Greater Manchester Police have issued the last known image of a missing man in an urgent appeal to find him.

Andrew, 54, from Bury, was last seen at The Rock shopping centre at around 1.30pm on Wednesday May 10th. 

He was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, a formal, long black coat and was carrying a dark rucksack. Officers have urged the public not to approach him.

Today, the force has issued the last known image of Andrew — who is described as a white man of slim build and around 6ft tall.

In a tweet on Twitter last night, GMP wrote: “#APPEAL | Can you help police find a missing man from #Bury?

“Andrew (54) was last seen at The Rock, Bury at around 1:30pm today.

“Police encourage the public not to approach him and call 101 quoting 2183 of 10/5/23 to report sightings. Always call 999 in an emergency.”

In an additional post today the force added: “#UPDATE | This is the latest image of Andrew from #Bury who is still missing.

“He is a white man of slim build and 6’0″. He was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, a formal long black coat and carrying a dark rucksack.”

Anyone who spots Andrew should not approach him and should call 101 quoting log 2183 of 10/5/23. Always call 999 in an emergency.
