Police have released CCTV images of a man they believe could help them with their enquiries, after the sexual assault of a teenager in Bury last year.

Following the assault on Manchester Road at around 4pm on Tuesday, October 3rd 2023, officers would now like to speak with the man pictured in connection with the incident.

Officers believe he may have further information that can help them with their investigation.

Up to now no arrests have been made, Greater Manchester Police say.

Police Constable Zak Wood, of GMP’s Bury district, said: “We understand the concern this will raise but want to reassure the local community despite the time passed we are continuing to exhaust all lines of enquiry to ensure we can find the person responsible and remain committed on tackling violence against women and girls.

“We are now able to appeal to the public, and in particular the person pictured, to see if we can retrieve any further detail around this incident to obtain new evidence.
