Don’t forget to look out as the RAF’s acrobatic squadron of Red Arrows fly over Greater Manchester tomorrow.

The world’s premier aerobatics display team piloting the agile and nippy aircraft will be departing from RAF Waddington, in Lincolnshire, and heading to Blackpool Airport on Friday afternoon (September 8th), departing at 4pm.

Their flight path will take them over Greater Manchester where residents can look out and listen for the super fast jets as they pass over the city region.

The entire journey should take around 30 minutes and will see the arrowhead-like planes zoom over several areas across the North.

First, they will fly over Nottinghamshire before they head towards Ashbourne in Derbyshire, then move up towards the Peak District. They will then pass Glossop and turn towards Saddleworth, as they also fly close to Rochdale centre.

From there, they will pass over Heywood, central Bury, northern Bolton and Horwich, before they reach Burscough, in Lancashire, and turn down towards Merseyside and Cheshire.
