Next has confirmed the date its huge legendary sale will take place after it announced it will remain closed on Boxing Day for a second year in a row.

The retail giant announced last year that it would remain closed on Boxing Day to give staff a well deserved day off after working through a busy festive season in the run up to Christmas.

Bosses at Next have confirmed the store will do the same again this year and will not be open on December 26th.

The retailer has been known for a number of years for its huge Boxing Day sale which saw avid bargain hunters forming queues outside shopping centres and Next stores from as early as 6am on the day after Christmas.

While the Trafford Centre will reopen again on Boxing Day to welcome shoppers and visitors back through its doors, Next will be among some of the shops choosing to remain closed for another day while staff enjoy a well-earned break.

Instead, it has been confirmed that shoppers keen to go bargain-hunting at Next should head to its stores on Wednesday, December 27th, when it will reopen for its huge seasonal sale.

On the day after Boxing Day, Next stores will open from 6am to start their famous after-Christmas in-store sale.

There’s no doubt that shoppers will be forming queues to take advantage of slashed prices on Next goods just the same as they have in previous years; forming queues outside from very early in the morning.

All stores across Greater Manchester will open from early to welcome bargain hunters including the stores within the Trafford Centre and Manchester Arndale.

For Next fans who’d prefer not to risk heading out in the elements and shop from the comfort of their own homes, Next has also confirmed the date when its online sale will start for 2023. And they are starting early this year…

The retail giant’s sales will begin on Christmas Eve online (December 24th).

A number of big retailers and supermarkets have decided not to open up again this year on Boxing Day, including Marks & Spencer, John Lewis and Aldi.
