July heatwave on its way in the UK with highs of 28C by the end of June

Britain looks like it’s in for a summer of sunshine, as the Met Office has predicted ‘very warm’ weather in June and July.

Great news for all us taking our summer holidays in our back garden, as it’s set to be hot over the next few weeks!!

The weather charts and long-range forecasts are predicting that we could be in for sustained warmth from the end of June.

Temperatures seem to average around 25C across most regions, but they could reach as high as the 30s in the South East.

Manchester is currently forecast 26C and sunshine next Wednesday, June 24th, but forecasters predict it’ll feel even hotter, around 28C, with the days around it seeing mid-20s temperatures.

From June 30th to July 14th temperatures should generally be above average, turning ‘very warm’ in some places, according to the Met Office.

The Met Office says: “Probably remaining fairly unsettled towards the end of June with showers or longer spells of rain, these turning heavy and possibly thundery across the south.

“Despite the mixed conditions, all parts should still see some drier and brighter interludes.

“Temperatures should generally be above average, possibly turning very warm in places.

“Around the turn of the month and into early July, a transition to more settled conditions is signalled with many seeing more prolonged drier and sunnier spells.”

Charts from WXCHARTS show that much of the country will be turning warmer over the weekend. This comes after storms, which have hit large areas of the country. 

Manchester is expected to be hit with even more heavy rain today, and although it does’t seem to have stopped raining in days there is a light at the end of the tunnel – the sun.

The Met Office have issued a warning regarding the thunderstorms, explaining that they could cause flooding and disruption.
