In a mysterious turn of events in North Wales, hundreds of birds have fallen out of the sky. The starlings were found dead on a road in Anglesey, after being spotted by Hannah Stevens yesterday, Tuesday December 10th. According to Miss Stevens, she first saw a ‘massive flock’ flying overhead before they ate something in the road – they died an hour later.

When Miss Stevens got home she told her partner Dafydd Edwards, who went down to investigate the situation.
Mr Edwards told North Wales Live: “I counted 150 last night but I gave up as there’s just hundreds of them littered everywhere. It’s as if they just dropped down dead from the sky.”
He continued: “[Miss Stevens] said she saw hundreds of them flying over and thought it looked amazing but on her way back around an hour later they were all dead in the road. I didn’t believe her so I went to see for myself. It’s very strange, I can’t put my finger on it.” The North Wales Police’s Rural Crime Team visited the scene this morning, and they’re asking for anyone with information to get in touch, calling the incident a ‘very strange’ occurrence.
Officers counted 225 dead birds in the road, with some in the hedges alongside it – although bizarrely none of the birds landed in the fields either side.
PC Dewi Evans said: “Many of you will have seen on social media a video going round of an incident on Anglesey where numerous starling have been killed. We don’t know how it’s happened.
“We’re just outside Bodedern here by Llyn Llywenan and as you can see on the road here there’s approx 225 dead starling on the road itself and many others on the hedge along the side of the road but no starling apparent in the fields either side which is very strange.”
A few of the birds were taken to be examined in a lab, with officers saying they’re keeping ‘an open mind’ as to the cause of death.
