Homeless man tragically found dead behind car wash in Manchester

In some tragic news today, a homeless man was found dead behind a car wash this morning.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was discovered in a vehicle in east Manchester, with emergency services rushing to the scene.

Police and paramedics responded to the incident on Hyde Road at around 8.15am, with officers pronouncing him dead at the scene.

The man’s body was discovered inside a vehicle next to the Hand Car Wash & Valeting Centre, just by Bennet Street.

Officers are now working to hunt down his next of kin to inform them – it’s believed there’s no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “At 08.16am this morning, Monday November 2022, police were called to reports of a body of a homeless man in a vehicle at the back of a car wash on Hyde Road.

“Colleagues from NWAS attended and sadly pronounced the man dead at the scene.

“Officers believe that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the 40-year-old and are now tracing his next of kin.”
