Ibiza and Mallorca have been added to the governments green list, meaning holidays to the destinations are back on.
The Balearic Islands – which also include Menorca and Formentera – will be added to the list from 4am on Tuesday but travellers will still need to take Covid tests upon touching down back in England.
Other places moving from the amber to the green list include Madeira, the set of islands off the coast of Portugal, Malta, Israel and ‘several UK Overseas Territories and Caribbean Islands including Barbados’.

Those territories include Anguilla, Bermuda, British Antarctic Territory, British Indian Ocean Territory, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Montserrat, Pitcairn Islands, Turks and Caicos Islands; while the Caribbean Islands are Antigua, Barbuda, Dominica, Barbados and Grenada.
Under the rules of the travel traffic light system, people arriving in the UK from destinations on the green list are not required to self-isolate.
When returning to the UK from holiday hotspots on the amber list, travellers have to self-isolate for ten days, as well as pay for tests.
