The coronavirus crisis is bringing the worst out of some people, and there’s not many things lower than spitting at a nurse. That’s what happened to one 28-year-old nurse, who was spat at and called a ‘virus spreader’ by an idiot outside Lidl on March 21st. Care manager Amy Hall was in uniform when a ‘middle-aged man’ decided to target her outside the supermarket in Waterlooville, Hampshire, as she went in to buy Mother’s Day flowers, The Mirror reports.
Ms Hall, who works for Verina Daly Care, told ITV News: “I was walking through the car park and a middle-aged man tried to spit at me.
“He didn’t get me, but he tried to spit at me and said that I was a ‘virus spreader’, which obviously shocked me a little bit.
“Being in my uniform, I didn’t really engage much in that conversation, but a few other people did come over and speak to that man and I carried on and went into the store.”
