Greater Manchester Police seized a large amount of cannabis after raiding a restaurant in Urmston yesterday.

Officers stormed the premises on Tuesday afternoon after being alerted to ‘suspicious activity’ at the eatery.

Inside, they found a ‘large haul of cannabis’ which they said had been ‘harvested’ there.

GMP revealed brief details of the incident on its Trafford North Facebook page, joking that it would be leaving a one star review on TripAdvisor.

They wrote: “Earlier this afternoon the #TraffordWestArea team at Urmston were notified about suspicious activity taking place at a restaurant on Flixton Road, Urmston.

“Upon arrival a large haul of cannabis was recovered after being harvested inside the building.

“The investigation is ongoing & we will be sure to leave a 1 star review on Trip Advisor. #SaferUrmston”.

The identify of the restaurant involved hasn’t yet been released.
