Gang with ‘Manchester accents’ rob teens in posh Cheshire village

Police are hunting a gang with ‘Manchester accents’ who robbed two teenagers in a posh Cheshire village.

The gang of six carried out a carjacking in Alderley Edge after surrounding the pair on Macclesfield Road and threatening them.

The suspects stole a bracelet, two mobile phones and a wallet before taking off in the teen’s silver Ford Fiesta, while the rest of the group fled in a red car.

The incident happened at around 11pm on Monday, May 15th. The victims were aged 17 and 18. The suspects were described as being in their 20s and having Manchester accents.

Detective Constable James Atherton said: “Thankfully these two young men were not injured but they were shaken by their ordeal.

“I’d urge anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen the robbery or who has dash cam footage to contact us so that we can find those responsible.”
