A fundraiser set up to support the family of a pregnant mum killed in a crash on the M66 has reached almost £37k, as police issue a fresh appeal for witnesses.

Franke Jules-Hough, 38, was killed in a horror crash on the M66 which happened on Saturday at around 3.10pm, May 13th.

The pregnant mother was travelling with her two sons, Tommy, nine, and Rocky, two, and her nephew Tobias, four when they were involved in the devastating smash.

Adil Iqbal, 22, was arrested at the scene and appeared at  Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Monday May 15th, where lawyers confirmed Ms Jules-Hough had died.

Iqbal, who works in a boxing gym, has been charged with causing the death by dangerous driving of Ms Jules-Hough, along with the two other charges of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, relating to the two boys.

A Go Fund Me page — to support the family of Ms Jules-Hough and young boys — was set up by a friend who wrote in it that the mum was 18-weeks pregnant.

The fundraiser has now reached nearly £37,000 from public donations, at time of writing.

Following the crash, Sergeant Matt Waggett, from GMP Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I would like to thank the members of the public who selflessly helped at the scene and called 999, as well as those who assisted when police and emergency services arrived on scene.”

Writing before Frankie died family friend, Keeley D Berry, said on Facebook: “Frankie Hough you have to pull through. You have to. Please please pray for her and the boys and her unborn baby girl.

“You’ve never let ANYTHING beat you, please please please please.”

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage.
