A Cumbrian DJ’s dreams have come true as he got to appear on BBC Radio 2.
A young DJ’s dreams became a real-life experience after being invited by Michael Ball to join him on his mid-morning radio show at Wogan House, London.
The BBC Radio 2 presenter sent Harrison Holmes, who has cerebral palsy, a surprise message inviting him down to the studio.
The 22-year-old presents a show on volunteer-run Radio Lonsdale, in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, where he is loved by his listeners.

Visiting the studio with his mum Joanna, he was welcomed with a big hug from Ball, who made the excited young DJ feel right at home.
As the BBC reports, it didn’t take long before Holmes asked him: “Can I work here please?”
Ball replied: “The only way you get to work here is if you do actually have your own jingle.”

The young DJ was taken by surprise and filled with emotion after his own jingle was played on air and he got to introduce the next song.
Afterwards, the pair had a sing-along, laughed together and shared another hug.
