New music and entertainment arena Co-op Live has announced it will create more than 2,000 jobs.
The recruitment campaign will see the creation of more than 2,000 casual jobs at the new £365 million music-first venue, as Manchester residents are encouraged to apply and ‘be part of the crew’.
There’s a variety of job roles ranging from stewards, fan safety and services, chefs, bar and restaurant staff, back of house food and beverage staff, hosts, and more.
The jobs will offer flexible working, as well as the opportunity for training and to upskill.
More than 3,350 jobs have already been created through the building’s construction, to date.
Gary Roden, Executive Director & General Manager, Co-op Live, says: “Co-op Live is proud to support jobs and enhance career opportunities across Manchester.
“Our new starters will join an incredible crew, supporting us across our exciting opening season and becoming vital to the success of the arena.
“These new jobs will make a difference to local communities, bringing well-paid jobs to our neighbourhood.”
Co-op Live is a joint venture between Oak View Group and City Football Group, it has also been backed by pop sensation Harry Styles, who is an investor.
Due to open to the public in April 2024, the impressive structure will become Europe’s most sustainable, as well as the UK’s largest, live entertainment arena.
As part of the busiest UK arena opening season ever, Co-op Live will host 25 shows within its first month of opening. Live acts that have already been announced for 2024 so far include the Jonas Brothers, Eric Clapton and Niall Horan – with plenty more announcements on the way in the coming weeks.
