Your dream of being a zookeeper could soon become a reality thanks to Chester Zoo’s upcoming recruitment open day.

Chester Zoo, which is currently the UK’s leading charity zoo, has over 100 seasonal job vacancies for the upcoming summer months, all of which vary between a flexible schedule of eight and forty hours a week.

The zoo has confirmed that the jobs up for grabs vary across the food, drink, retail, operations and admissions teams.

In what is billed to be a ‘relaxed and informal session’, the recruitment open day will take place in Bembe Coffee Shop at the zoo’s main entrance this Wednesday, April 27th.

Speaking ahead of the event, Gemma Bamford, Admissions and Membership manager at Chester Zoo, said: “If you’re interested in a career at the zoo, or are looking to enjoy a flexible role around your current lifestyle, then pop along to our open day for a cuppa and a chat with our teams and we’ll take you through all of the exciting positions we have to offer.

“There’re not many places in the world where can you explore a 128 acre zoo and be surrounded by 20,000 incredible animals every day.

If you do, the zoo’s recruitment day is taking place this Wednesday, April 27th, between 2pm – 8pm, and is completely free to attend.
