In some brilliant news for BT customers, the company has announced it’ll be lifting the cap on home broadband deals so families can stay connected.

With so many people either self-isolating or working from home, the best way a lot of families and friends can stay in touch is through video calls and online chats.

To make this easier, BT is giving customers unlimited broadband during this period of coronavirus quarantine.

Marc Allera, BT’s Consumer brands CEO, made the announcement in a statement today, saying that it would help parents working from home and kids who need to stay connected to school.

And in a bid to help elderly people who prefer to ring someone than go online, for BT’s landline only customers there’ll now be a monthly £5 cap on phone calls to mobiles and UK landlines.

When it comes to worries about bills, Mr Allera said: “We know this is already a stressful time for customers worried about their finances, so we’ve put in place a dedicated team to support customers that need extra help with their bills.

“If a customer contacts us with money worries related to Coronavirus, we’ll work out what works best for them.”

A brilliant move from BT!
