The Audit Lab based in Bolton is splitting its £5,000 Christmas party budget between its 13 employees.
The annual Christmas do is usually a chance for the marketing agency, based on Chorley New Road, to give back to their employees with a lavish night out in Manchester.
However, like many things the pandemic is preventing any kind of Christmas party fun, so instead the firm is giving the cash to their staff.
It works out at £385 for each employee – a nice Christmas bonus!
Claire Crompton, co-founder and director of the business, said: “We wanted to thank each and every one of our employees for their work throughout 2020.
“This year hasn’t been easy for anyone with lockdowns and restrictions. We like to give back to our people by giving them a big blowout at Christmas, but this year we wanted to show our appreciation in a different way.
“Whether they have their own household Christmas party, put it towards presents or treat themselves, it’s our way of saying ‘thank you’ for helping The Audit Lab get through the incredibly tough year that has been 2020.”
The firm also give their employees ‘hangover days’ which are essentially what it says on the tin. Plus they have six-hour working days, unlimited holidays and even pay reviews every six months.
Junior PR Manager Hannah Ratcliffe said: “We honestly have so many perks working here.”
