Blackpool Pleasure Beach is set to reopen next month

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has announced it expects to reopen next month with new safety measures in place.

In line with government guidance, the attraction expects to be reopened from July 4th but there will be a whole host of strict new measures put in place.

They include a cap on the number of daily visitors, new e-tickets, advance bookings only, socially distant queues and a one-way system around paths. 

Each specific ride has had a plan developed, in some cases there will be spaces left empty between rows while on others guests will be required to wear a face mask. 

There will also be daily temperature checks on staff, deep cleaning measures around the park and the addition of new handwashing facilities. 

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has also created a new ordering system for food which includes ordering via mobile phones and receiving a designated time and location for pick up. 

Additional outdoor seating has been arranged in dedicated seating areas around the park. 

According to their social media channels: “Blackpool Pleasure Beach is preparing to reopen respectfully and safely.

“We will be introducing a range of new policies and procedures to ensure our amusement park remains as safe as possible for all our guests.

“In line with current government guidance, we expect to be able to reopen Blackpool Pleasure Beach on 4th July 2020. In the meantime please take a look at the measures we are putting in place on our website, as we prepare to welcome you back.”
