There’s a new online calculator which figures out when you could have the Covid-19 vaccine.

The Omni Calculator estimates how many people are ahead of you in the queue to get your jabs and how long you might have to wait.

All you have to do is answer a few simple questions including things like your age. You’ll also be asked where you live or if you work in a care home.

You will be asked if you are pregnant or planning on getting pregnant in the next three months. If you are, advise is currently to avoid getting the jab until more data is released.

Other questions include whether you are a frontline health or social worker, if you are classed as extremely vulnerable, or if you have an underlying health condition.

The calculator only offers an estimate but it’s a ‘useful starting point’.

The online calculator’s website says: “You will then see an estimate of the maximum number of people who are in line to receive the vaccine before you.

“We also indicate how long it might be before you get the vaccine, based on the vaccination rate. By default, we base these figures on a vaccination rate of 1 million vaccinations a week and a default takeup rate of 70.6 per cent.”

Currently, the priority list includes 20 million of the most vulnerable people that are over 50 and have been shielding since March.

There is no plan confirmed yet on when non-priority groups will get vaccinated.

The priority list for getting the vaccine is as follows:

  1. Residents in a care home for older adults and their carers
  2. All those 80 years of age and over and frontline health and social care workers
  3. All those 75 years of age and over
  4. All those 70 years of age and over and clinically extremely vulnerable individuals
  5. All those 65 years of age and over
  6. All individuals aged 16 years to 64 years with underlying health conditions which put them at higher risk of serious disease and mortality
  7. All those 60 years of age and over
  8. All those 55 years of age and over
  9. All those 50 years of age and over

The online calculator website states: “We created this calculator to deliver all the answers to every single one of these crucial questions. Omni’s vaccine queue calculator will estimate for you how many people are ahead of you in the queue to get a COVID vaccine in the UK.

“It also predicts how long you might have to wait to get your vaccine. By using our tool, you’ll have a better idea of when you can expect to get vaccinated.

“We’ve based our vaccine queue calculator on the UK Government’s priority list and the likely rate of vaccination (which you can adjust in advanced mode).”
