Warrington is set to become the first town in England to get a drive-thru Chinese takeaway.
The new drive-thru is called Wiyo and is set to open on Saturday, June 17th, the Warrington Guardian reports.
The window in the wall will be open seven days a week serving up the best-loved Chinese takeaway dishes from 5-9pm.
The new drive-thru can be found off Knutsford Road, on School Street, near Bridge Foot and is already a hit with the locals, as it experienced a soft opening over the weekend.
One of Wiyo’s owners, Leon Freedman, said: “Our goal was to create a quick, convenient, great tasting menu, that can be eaten on the go for the people of Warrington and surrounding areas.
“We will be employing at least 15 staff from the local area and hope to bring some life back to a once run-down space in the centre of town.”
One of the drive-thru’s most popular dishes is expected to be their moreish salt and pepper chicken, as Leon added: “Our salt and pepper chicken has been a hit at all the food festivals.”
Wiyo will open officially on Saturday, June 17th at 5pm, following its soft launch over the weekend, June 10th and 11th.
