The town of Prestwich has gained an exciting new addition in the form of a hybrid café bar serving up a tantalising mix of wings, pizza and cocktail trees.

Prestwich Social has come courtesy of the brains behind Deansgate’s Liquor Store, Doug Waldron and Brett Collier, who are both on a mission to provide Prestwich residents a place for all-day drinking and dining with ethically sourced ingredients.

On the menu, guests can choose from an extensive selection of brunch favourites, such as smashed avocado and eggs, Shakshuka and fruit pancakes. There are also a number of lunch items such as salt and pepper chicken wings and a Mediterranean Linguine, as well as larger plates like grill dishes, pizzas and steaks.

The menu is made up of a number of locally sourced favourites, including the iconic Bury Black Pudding and Grandad’s Sausages.

And as the day goes on into the night, Prestwich Social becomes all about those after-work drinks, with beautiful cocktails, craft beers and wines on the menu.

But the real stars of the show is the cocktail trees, which comprise of twelve elegant branches holding your choice of espresso or pornstar martinis.

Co-owner Brett, who is from Prestwich himself, said on his latest venture: “I’ve always wanted to have my own dining concept in my hometown, but now that Prestwich is arguably more happening than places like Didsbury and Chorlton, there’s a lot of expectation and pressure on us.

“With people working from home a lot more these days, why shouldn’t locals have a city centre quality venue on their doorstep.”

Doug added: “We’ve got a strong stance on the food being ethically sourced and local. We want the story behind our suppliers, such as where the meat comes from. That’s important to us, and to the people of Prestwich.”

Prestwich Social is open seven days a week from 10am-12am Sundays – Thursdays and 10am -1am Fridays and Saturdays.
