The Lowry Hotel is doing bottomless afternoon tea on Mother’s Day with unlimited cakes and scones

To celebrate all those wonderful mums out there, The Lowry Hotel has unveiled its epic bottomless afternoon tea menu, complete with all the scones and cakes you can handle.

The hotel, which has become well known and loved for its elegant afternoon tea, has launched its Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea celebration, which sees its usual menu upgraded with tables stacked high with sweet treats and savoury delicacies.

Guests will be able to indulge upon as many sandwiches, scones, cakes, cup of teas and all the other wonderful afternoon tea treats as they can muster for just £35pp.

On the exclusive menu, guests can expect to find Lincolnshire pork and wild mushroom sausage rolls and a variety of delicate tea sandwiches, including poached Loch Duart salmon with horseradish crème fraiche, baked ham with piccalilli and oak smoked cheese with carrot and spring onion. 

On the sweet treats menu, there will be lemon and ginger choux craqualin, raspberry, white chocolate and pistachio gateaux, praline tart with milk chocolate and honey and passion fruit cheesecake with a selection of flavoured Macaroons. 

And afternoon tea wouldn’t be afternoon tea without freshly baked scones, which will be in abundance at The Lowry Hotel and served with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry preserve.

There will also be a menu curated especially for any little ones in attendance, which includes ham, tuna and egg sandwiches, strawberry marshmallow skewers with chocolate dipping sauce, double chocolate brownies and homemade candy floss.

There will be a live pianist on hand to provide music throughout the day, as well as a magician who will interact with families and show off his dazzling tricks.

The Lowry Hotel’s limitless Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea is priced at £35 for adults and £15 for children, with sittings available between 12pm – 4pm on Sunday March 27th.
