The Black Friar is selling £1 prosecco and £1 pints this August
There’ll also be a number of food discounts up for grabs across the month…
To celebrate its first birthday in style, the Black Friar will be selling £1 glasses of prosecco and £1 pints for the entirety of August.
The historic pub, which reopened last year after standing derelict for nearly two decades, will be offering a different deal for each week of August, starting tomorrow with £1 glasses of prosecco.
Between Tuesday August 2nd and Friday August 5th, diners can enjoy a glass of fizz for just a quid when they order two courses from the main menu.

And the week after, between Tuesday August 9th and Friday August 12th, the £1 deal will apply to the tasty bread and olives starter alongside the two courses.
The bread comes served with seasonal butter while the olives are coated in a lemon and herb marinade, making for the perfect summer snack.
Another exciting beverage deal will follow that, with guests being able to grab themselves a pint of Black Friar Lager or Orchard Pig Cider for just £1 between Tuesday August 16th and Friday August 19th.
And for the final week of the birthday celebrations, the Black Friar will be offering all of its á la carte side dishes for, you guessed it, one British pound.

And there’s no limit on any of these offers; once you’ve ordered two courses, you can load up on the £1 items to your heart’s content.
