A New Moroccan steakhouse serving 24 karat gold-plated Tomahawk steaks opens today.

Fez-Tajine has today (Friday, December 22nd) opened its doors, situated just over the Irwell in Salford.

Alongside incredible Tomahawk steaks, this brand new Moroccan eatery will serve up a variety of traditional classic dishes, including tajine and cous cous accompanied with various meats and vegetables.

The modern, Moroccan-inspired ambiance adds to the unique dining experience where guests can sink their teeth into authentic-style dishes at this welcome addition to Manchester’s vast culinary scene.

Owners Mourad and Saad have decades of experience between them, starting in five-star hotels back home in Morocco.

At Fez-Tajine, you’ll find the pair cooking up dishes to be the most authentic they can possibly be, while filling the air with aromas of cinnamon, cumin and ras el hanout.

The tajine is a traditional slow-cooked stew, made with your choice of chicken, lamb, beef, or vegetable.

Saad says the chicken tajine, that comes served in a copper tagine pot, is ‘just like I remember as a child’, and it is a fragrant dish with preserved lemons and olives.

Mbakhar (slow-cooked dishes) arrive on the bone – either beef ribs or a whole lamb shoulder – which are pulled apart at the table, and served with a flatbread to soak up the spiced juices.

Sizzling lamb dishes are cooked tableside on a flaming burner and the steaks come layered with 24 karat gold.
