Nando’s has unveiled it’s Christmas menu for 2022, and it includes a peri-peri twist on a number of festive food favourites.
The South African restaurant chain will be offering a Christmas twist to its beloved chicken this year, with a limited-edition maple and orange seasoning, which ‘combines sweetness with citrus elements’ and pairs perfectly with Nando’s staples and festive options alike.
The exclusive seasoning will be added as ‘Medium’ to the restaurant’s iconic peri-ometer, and will be best suited to fans of specials like peri-tamer, garlic BBQ or last year’s spiced clementine.
Also on the Christmas menu this year is the beloved peri-peri gravy, which made its debut in 2018 and proved to be hugely popular among customers.

The gravy is ‘rich and warming with fiery, herby notes’ and features the restaurant’s signature chilli kick, making it the perfect addition for those waning a winter warmer with a difference.
And in a menu addition that is certain to divide the nation, Nando’s has launched its macho sprouts side in a festive twist on its macho peas.
Much like the peas, the macho sprouts are shredded and mixed together with mint, parsley and chilli to boost their earthy and slightly sweet flavour.
The new items from the Christmas menu are available now at all Nando’s restaurants, and are available for eat-in, takeaway, or delivery.
While they didn’t make an announcement for the vegan version, it can be assumed it will be making its come back on the same day.
Each year, the bakery chain delights customers with the return of its limited-edition pastry, which contains chicken, sage and onion stuffing, bacon, and a creamy sage and cranberry sauce all encased within a crumb-topped pastry.
