McDonald’s has launched its new menu today, and there are some seriously tasty new additions.

The fast food chain announced the menu shake-up last week, which included the departure of the long-serving Chicken Legend burger and the beloved Big Tasty.

But as old favourites depart, five new and exciting additions have made their debut.

For the first time in the restaurant’s history, mini potato waffles have been added to the breakfast menu to accompany the staple hash brown side.

They are served as a portion of three, and are available on their own for £1.39 or as part of a breakfast meal.

The waffles are joined by two new burgers, including the BBQ Bacon Stack, which was axed from the menu in July last year.

The burger, made with two British and Irish beef patties, pepper jack cheese and bacon, will set you back £6.89 for a large meal.

The McCrispy burgera crunchy chicken fillet in a sourdough-style bun with lettuce and mayonnaise – will also become a permanent addition to the menu from today.

Nacho Cheese wedges will be added to the menu on October 26th, and will be available as a portion of five or as a share-box.

The wedges will come loaded with melted nacho cheese and spicy Jalapeno slices, and covered in a crunchy coating. They will also be served with Maccies’ signature sour cream and chive dip.

And for those with a sweet tooth, a brand new Twirl McFlurry has today joined the menu. It is made with ice cream and chunks of Cadbury’s Twirl with a tasty milk chocolate sauce.

All the new items – apart from the permanent McCrispy Burger – will be available in all McDonald’s stores for the next six weeks.
