‘Tis the season to eat kebabs…

The Northern Quarter’s very own Bab has unveiled its Christmas menu and it looks nothing short of sensational.

Now, we all know that the best part of Christmas (and arguably the whole year) is the festive food. I’m talking roast turkey, pigs in blankets, red cabbage, cranberry sauce and yes, even the Brussel sprouts.

So how would you feel if I told you all of these lovely things can now be found in an actual kebab?

While it sounds a little too good to be true, the Northern Quarter’s iconic gourmet kebab joint Bab has made it a reality; titled the Christmas BAB, this revolutionary creation consists of roast turkey breast, pigs in blankets, sprouts, melted brie cheese and a healthy serving of cranberry sauce, all aloft a homemade flatbread for £13.50.

Also new to the menu is the unique and very tasty Lamb Chop Kebab for £14.50, consisting of three seared lamb chops served on the bone, green peas, salad and mint sauce.

There’s also a meat-free alternative on the new menu, the Butternut Squash Kebab for just £10, which comes loaded with roasted butternut squash, shredded sprouts and a beetroot and cheese sauce (chilli sauce for a vegan alternative).

And when you thought that was incredible, wait until you hear what’s on their new Mezze Menu; a roast beef filled Yorkshire pudding complete with fresh cranberries, carrots and a salad garnish for £7.

There’s also the option to order a side of pigs in blankets, because it wouldn’t be a proper Christmas menu otherwise, would it?
